Societal and governance institutions are under pressure. As half of the global population has either voted or is poised to vote in a general election this year, the acceleration of AI adds an unprecedented layer of complexity. Compounding this, a crisis of trust in one another and our institutions has emerged and opened the door for misuse or bad actors to cause great harm. Democracy stands at the precipice of this juncture, further weakened by increasing fragmentation and a lack of close cooperation. Against this backdrop, the forum will seek to answer a key question: Is liberal democracy in decline or under attack?

The Global Goals in Action 2024 is a series of forums that bring together leaders from boardrooms and C-Suite, UN Member States, UN agencies, and international organizations so that they can leverage their experience, access to market, and resources towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The Series provides several opportunities to delegates and speakers to:
