About
The Circular Economy Forum is Diplomatic Courier’s annual high-level event that brings together leaders from the private sector and international organizations so that they can leverage their experience, access to market, and resources towards solutions for an inclusive and sustainable economic future.
When/Where
This year’s Forum is planned to be held in Washington, DC on April 16, 2024, during the IMF/World Bank Group Spring Meetings.
Building upon the December forum on “Building Climate Resilient” communities at COP28 in Dubai, this forum will focus on:
- How to ensure the participation of communities in building resilient communities.
- How to reimagine fragmented sectors such as healthcare, infrastructure, and technology through a multisectoral and multistakeholder lens.
- How to redefine leadership models and success/failure models, ensuring equitable access to those least represented.
A principals-only focused intimate meeting with the key goals to connect leaders and experts working on solutions at the C-Suite and Board/Governance level. The Forum is intentionally designed to be interactive and intimate with the key goal to convene, connect, and create partnerships among the different stakeholders participating in the event. Participants include executives, board members, NGO and IGO leaders, Civil Society
leaders, and policy and diplomacy officials.
What is a Circular Economy?
According to the Ellen MacArthur Foundation, a circular economy is a systemic approach to economic development designed to benefit businesses, society, and the environment. In contrast to the ‘take-make-waste’ linear model, a circular economy is regenerative by design and aims to gradually decouple growth from the consumption of finite resources.
