Join Diplomatic Courier and Bayer on December 8, 2023 at the Blue Zone, Storytelling for Action Pavilion in Dubai, UAE at COP 28.

How can industry support multi-stakeholder and multi-sectoral efforts to help build equitable climate-resilient communities of the future? In this high-level, intimate, and interactive forum, we will examine expert perspectives on how:

  1. How to ensure the participation of communities in building resilient communities.
  2. How to reimagine fragmented sectors such as healthcare, infrastructure, and technology through a multisectoral and multistakeholder lens.
  3. How to redefine leadership models and success/failure models, ensuring equitable access to those least represented.

Together, forum participants will delve into the underlying issues identifying solutions and exploring opportunities for impact.

How can industry support multi-stakeholder and multi-sectoral efforts to help build equitable climate-resilient communities of the future?

There is broad consensus that climate change is increasingly impacting human health and must be addressed. Tackling this global challenge requires a systems approach involving energy, infrastructure, healthcare, agriculture and food, technology alongside many more sectors. Yet disagreement over how to address the energy transition, decarbonization, and climate impact mitigation hamper collective action, leaving those groups already vulnerable and marginalized at further risk. Further, participation of the communities currently affected by these climate impacts is essential to ensure the support is contextual, equitable and effective, aligning with a rights-based approach for all.
