Unlocking the Power of Consumer Health for Climate Action

Toward prevention-based health systems that also drive climate adaptation and mitigation.

As the climate crisis continues to reshape our environment and health systems, the connection between planetary and human health has never been more urgent. The private sector, especially consumer health businesses, sits at a pivotal intersection of innovation, and influence. From product design to global supply chains, these businesses touch billions of lives and are uniquely positioned to accelerate the transition toward prevention-based health systems that also drive climate adaptation and mitigation.

This high-level roundtable, convened during Climate Week and UNGA 80, brings together leaders from consumer health, global health institutions and wider stakeholder organizations to forge a vision and roadmap for collective action in consumer health. It builds on the existing Climate & Health Toolkit created by the Climate & Health Coalition and explores emerging mechanisms to activate new forms of collaboration and impact.
