Unlocking Investment for Maternal Health

Financing and partnerships to scale MMS for pregnant women.

This private roundtable held alongside the annual World Health Summit in Berlin will explore ways to accelerate critical health care solutions for millions of expectant mothers and newborns facing risks from malnourishment. The invitation-only Signal Salon convenes health ministers and senior government officials alongside development finance experts, private sector leaders, and philanthropies. Conversation will focus on expanding access to evidence-based interventions such as multiple micronutrient supplementation (MMS) for pregnant women.

With strong evidence and growing momentum for implementation, financing is still a major barrier in low-income countries with high infant mortality rates. Informed by recent work in both low- and middle-income countries, roundtable participants will examine pilot opportunities and funding mechanisms to scale access and prioritize maternal nutrition within broader health systems.
