1 in 8 people could be displaced by 2050.
Without ID, they’re invisible to services, systems, even society.
Join us for a powerful dialogue on restoring identity as a human right.
In an era of escalating displacement due to conflict, climate, and instability, nearly a billion people are at risk of existing without formal identity. This erasure isn’t just bureaucratic, it denies access to healthcare, education, work, and legal protection. This global forum, held during the 80th UN General Assembly meetings, convenes frontline experts, technologists, and displaced voices to tackle a core 21st-century question: How can we restore agency and dignity through identity?
The convening will serve as a launching pad for the pioneering work of Civitas ID. Stakeholders in the UN system, the private sector, and civil society will explore a future where universal, human-centric digital identity systems empower the world’s most vulnerable to fully participate in society.
