Health is a system being rewritten in real time, as climate pressures reshape the conditions for human wellbeing and technologies open new possibilities faster than institutions and markets can adapt.
This high-level strategic roundtable held during UNGA 81 and Climate Week NYC 2026 introduces a roadmap for collective action by consumer and health businesses to advance both human wellbeing and planetary health, as our changing climate increasingly impacts both. The session will bring together leaders and decision-makers in consumer goods and healthcare, including retailers and innovators in insurance and finance.
Building on the work and vision launched by these groups during Climate Week NYC 2025, participants will discuss their unique roles at the intersection of climate and health, exploring four potential areas for collaboration that can drive the most meaningful impact:
1) Global Respiratory Intelligence Platform,
2) Heart Resilience Incentive Engine,
3) Nutrition and Safe Hydration Action Lab, and
4) Climate-Informed Community Health Academy.
Together, they will identify concrete actions that could be taken to bring these collaborations to life.Â
The roundtable is part of a broader week of programming by Diplomatic Courier and World in 2050 during UN General Assembly Week in New York, including UNGA 81 Dialogues on the Future of Education, Philanthropy, and Diplomacy.
