Global Action Forum: Setting a Global Majority Agenda for AI Innovation

Artificial Intelligence & the Global South

On the occasion of the IMF/World Bank Annual Meetings, this principals-only convening is focused on connecting senior decision makers shaping the future of global AI safety and governance. The Forum is intentionally designed to be interactive, intimate, and actionable.

The primary goal is to create space for Global Majority countries and corresponding senior government leaders to coalesce around a policy agenda that can inform participation in the upcoming AI Action Summit scheduled for February 10-11, 2025 hosted by the French government.

The AI Action Summit builds upon previous AI-focused gatherings at Bletchley in November 2023, and virtually in Seoul in May 2024. The AI Action Summit expands beyond the original focus on safety to address five themes: Public Interest AI, Future of Work, Innovation & Culture, Security & Safety, and International Governance.
